3. Diphtong
Furthermore, two so-called diphtongs appear in the word GAUDIGUAD, namely AU and UA. These are two vowels, which together form a sound and are pronounced as one sound. The first diphtong AU belongs to a class of diphtongs that is almost everyday in the German language and is produced by narrowing the mouth: AU, EI, AI, EY, EU, OI, ÄU, OU. The second diphtong UA, on the other hand, belongs to the class of diphtongs, which are produced by opening the mouth. These do not appear in the High German dialect, but only in the other German dialects, for example in the Bavarian dialects. The word GAUDIGUAD also pays homage to an unnoticed phenomenon in the German language and brings it to mind. In addition, this linguistic phenomenon proves how much the richness of the German language only becomes accessible and exhausted in all its dialects.

4. Symmetry
Finally, the lexeme GAUDIGUAD has another special feature: It has a certain graphical as well as phonological axis symmetry inherent in it. The following sounds appear one after the other in the word: the Laryngal G - the Diphtong AU, which is produced by narrowing the mouth - the Dental D - the narrow vowel I - the Laryngal G - the Diphtong UA, which is produced by opening the mouth is - the Dental D. As explained in the previous paragraph, the two diphtongs behave in opposite directions in the order in which they occur. They also do this in their spelling. The graphic of the word GAUDIGUAD written in capital letters, that is, capital letters, shows an opposite bulge in the letters G and G. Between the morphemes GAUD and GUAD, the I acts like an axis of symmetry. Although the symmetry does not exist in mathematical or more closely geometrical terms, the word GAUDIGUAD has a certain uniformity.
